2008 FRIDAY UPDATES FROM 'FEST

FRIDAY 9:55PM Update - "Trickle 99 Results"

Steve Carlson won the third segment of the Dick Trickle "99" but it was Nathan Haseleu taking the overall event as he finished third in the final segment to win the event by two points.

That ends a great second night of racing at the 39th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend.

FRIDAY 9:20PM Update

Eric Fransen held off Matt Kocourek to win the Stubby 49 1/2.

The final segment of the Dick Trickle "99" is coming up.

FRIDAY 8:45PM Update

Matt Pyburn made a late race pass on Collin Reffner to take home the Super Sportsmen feature.

The Stubby 49 1/2 is coming up next.

FRIDAY 8:15PM Update - "Trickle 99 Results"

Andy Hanson would hold off Donny Reuvers to win the second segment of the Dick Trickle "'99". Russ Blakeley was third with Jason Schneider in fourth. Don "Thunder" Turner was fifth.

Hanson would roll an "3" to create an 11-car invert for the final segment.

FRIDAY 8:05PM Update

Dan Ryan would cruise to the victory with a five-car length victory over Arneson. Larry Bolster Jr. would finish third with Rob Mason in fourth. Tenner would come home fifth.

FRIDAY 7:25PM Update
Brett Wentzel won the Odd Super Sportsmen heat while Mike Lichtfeld won the Even heat. Area Sportsmen feature is next.

FRIDAY 7:10PM Update
Adam Kryzkowski won the Super Sportsmen qualifier.

FRIDAY 6:55PM Update - "Trickle 99 Results"
Frank Kreyer held off Steve Holzhausen to win the first segment of the Dick Trickle "99". Jeremy Lepak was third and Brett Moffitt in fourth. Tim Schendel rounded out the top five.

The second segment will have a full field invert!!!! There were no cars lapped in the first segment.

FRIDAY 6:20PM Update
Brent Kane and Jason Tohmah won the Area Sportsmen Qualifier Heats. The first segment of the Dick Trickle "99" is up next!!!

Two provisionals that have been added to the Dick Trickle "99" are Nick Panitzke and Donny Reuvers.

FRIDAY 5:55PM Update
Chris Cooley and Jason Dummer won the Area Sportsman qualifying heats. The Area Sportsmen qualifier heats are up next.

FRIDAY 5:37PM Update
Here are the drivers who advance to the Dick Trickle "99" from the qualifier races. Jason Scheider and Dean LaPointe advance from the first race. Steve Carlson and Nick Hammer advance from the second race. And Andrew Morrissey and Derek Neville finished first and second in the final qualifier heat.

FRIDAY 5:00PM Update
WE ARE RACING!!!! First up will be the Dick Trickle "99" Last Chance Races.

FRIDAY 4:05PM Update
Matt Pyburn set a new track record in qualifying for the Super Sportsmen division with a time of 20.985 seconds. The old record was 21.100 set back in 2007 by Keith Bohmsack.

Special Note: Collin Reffner qualified fifth and is the grandson of three-time Oktoberfest champion Tom Reffner. Reffner is in the pits tonight and was noticed having a great conversation with Dick Trickle.

The racing action will get underway at 5:00pm.

FRIDAY 3:30PM Update
Area Sportsmen qualifying has just ended. Tony Leis set the fast time of 21.591 seconds. Super Sportsmen are about to start.

FRIDAY 2:55PM Update
Here are the top 16 that have qualified for tonight's Dick Trickle "99". Brett Moffitt 19.100 seconds, Nick Neville 19.136 seconds, Frank Kreyer 19.142 seconds, Jeremy Lepak 19.153 seconds, Steve Holzhausen 19.159 seconds, Eddie Hoffman 19.243 seconds, Nathan Haseleu 19.270 seconds, Tim Schendel 19.272 seconds, Tim Rothe 19.277 seconds, Blake Horstman 19.282 seconds, Paul Paine 19.288 seconds, Russ Blakeley 19.317 seconds, Jason Weinkauf 19.317 seconds, Jacob Goede 19.341 seconds, Don Turner 19.347 seconds, and Andy Hanson 19.360 seconds.

The first 33-lap segment will start straight up in time.

48 cars qualified. Rest of the field will be determined in qualifying races tonight.

FRIDAY 2:47PM Update
For the second day in a row, Brett Moffitt set the quick time in qualifying with a time of 19.100 seconds for tonight's Dick Trickle "99". Area Sportsmen are up next.

FRIDAY 2:00PM update
Qualifying is about to start for tonight's Dick Trickle "99" Super Late Model race. In fact, Andrew Morrissey is the first car on the track.

FRIDAY 10:30AM Update
Good Morning!!! Open practice is going on until 12:40pm. There are 57 Super Late Models registered for tonight's 2nd Annual Dick Trickle "99." Qaulifying will get underway at 2:00pm with the racing action starting at 5:00pm. Along with the Super Late Models, the Super Sportsmen and Area Sportsmen will also be in action tonight.
